I had a lovely stay at El Encanto Garden Hotel. The view from my room was spectacular, especially during sunrise, and the staff were genuinely caring, helping me navigate local attractions. The peaceful garden ambiance added to the serenity of my visit.

Access to the property is tricky, especially at night with a rough, poorly lit trail. The rooms are smaller than anticipated and could use a good cleaning. I encountered some spiders and dead bugs upon entry. Power outages are frequent, making for an unreliable experience, and the bed was harder than preferred, paired with subpar pillows.

I spent 5 nights here while exploring Ometepe and was really impressed by the amazing views of Volcan Concepcion from my room and the restaurant area. The place is clean and secure, and I appreciated the air conditioning in my room during the warm days. It's conveniently located just a short walk from Playa Santa Cruz and other local spots. Plus, I really enjoyed renting a scooter right from the hotel to discover more of the island.

The breathtaking views from the restaurant truly set the tone for our stay, complemented by the delicious eclectic British dishes we enjoyed daily. However, access to the property was somewhat tricky, especially at night due to the poorly lit path, and we encountered some minor issues with room cleanliness that detracted from the experience. The bed was firmer than preferred, which may not suit everyone’s taste.

We stayed for 2 nights and the staff were so incredibly helpful. They directed us on bus timetables and how to explore without a scooter. The coffee was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and just what we wanted.

Pricing was on the higher side but for the value we got, it was still worthy.
